Cruise into Alesund, Norway...

In September we will be on a Norwegian Fjords cruise going to Alesund from Stavanger and I am wondering if we are likely to be close enough to see any of the wildlife on Runde Island?

 

I'd love to make a day trip there but as neither of us can drive and the journey via public transport sounds like a huge hassle it will be the only way we will see anything of Runde Island.

You can reach Runde within two hours drive by car - I believe that a rental car is the best option for a day trip

Yes that would be the best option but we cannot drive!

The Vision will not be close to Runde Island.

 

There is a company called 62Nord that does RIB tour to Runde but the season closes in mind August.

 

Your other chance is to ask on your roll call is anyone want to join you for a tour to Runde and maybe ask if they could drive.

You could do a private tour by taxi but its going to be very costly.
