Our cruise this fall has only one sea day...

(In the past our formal nights on the 7 day cruises were on sea days)

Anyone recently on Veendam or other 7 day with only 1 sea day know which are the formal nights. I want to book Pinnacle and would like to avoid missing them...

Look for days with early port departures, like 4:00 or earlier. My guess would be 9/30, cruising St Lawrence, and 10/3 Halifax.

Is this NE/Canada? Are you doing northbound, or southbound?

Southbound the formal nights are St. Lawrence River day, and Halifax. That's what they were on the Maasdam when I took that a few weeks ago, and the only difference in the itineraries is the starting point and amount of time in Quebec City.

Northbound the formal nights would be Bar Harbor and St. Lawrence River day.

Thanks so much everybody. We are traveling from Quebec to Boston. (This cruise on Veendam begins with an overnight at dock.)

(For those of you our family has traveled with... Our son Mason is "all grown up now"... This cruise was a relaxing excuse to our real destination... he & his cello are playing with the Boston Pops day after we arrive!!!)

BTW... I have been reading all the current formal dress discussions...

He cruised with us through the years over a dozen times on HAL & we have gone through 7 tuxedo's... ha! :D

That's a lot of cruising! Even considering the growth spurts, it's still a lot of cruising.
