slicerboy Posted August 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2013 We are booked on the Gem 9 Night Eastern Carib cruise out of NYC and wanted to know what nights do they offer the chefs table and what night does the dining room have lobster night. After a few calls to NCL, no one is helpful? We want to book specialty restaurants but not on the Chefs Table and lobster nights. HELP??
computerworks Posted August 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Can't help with the Chef's Table schedule; I have seen it vary from ship to ship...sometimes being held twice, etc. ...but, lobster night in the MDR is usually the first night of the voyage. Sauer-kraut Posted August 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2013 What is the Chefs Table? a special multi-course meal paired with wines for each course. If you do a search for chef's table there was a great review with pictures of each offering. I think its a $75 upcharge but I'm not sure about that. It was $79 last year but I think it went up to $89. We did it last year and hope to do it again. You can't book in advance though so do it as soon as you get onboard. They only have room for a small group and it sells out quickly.
LegallyBlonder Posted August 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2013 On our 9-day in January, Chef's Table was originally scheduled for Sunday (day 3) and Tuesday (day 5). My husband and I were booked for the first, but they called the day of and told us they were cancelling both from lack of interest. Granted, there was a large Kosher contingent on our sailing, as it was Yeshiva break week, but it was very disappointing nevertheless.
