Why Do Transfers Whittier-Anchorage Cost More For NCL?

I've been researching transfers to get us from Whittier to Anchorage and all the companies charge more if you're on NCL. Why is this? I want the cheaper transfers! :)

NCL is only there, once every two weeks, so it may be a "supply/demand", issue as these transfer companies are only there when cruise ships are in.

 

But there would also be the regular run of the Alaska RR, spend your time doing a boat tour, or a one way rental car with Avis.
