Bayport Cruise Terminal

Hi, does anyone know if there are car rental companies at the port or nearby?

You might ask this on the Gulf Coast departures board, but the Bayport Cruise Terminal hasn't been utilized yet. I don't think the first cruise there is until November, so there might not be an answer yet.

Carnival had to port out of there a few years ago after hurricane Ike shut down Galveston for awhile. At that time there was NOTHING around that cruise terminal, barely even any dirt parking lots.

 

Hopefully in anticipation of it opening for cruises in the fall they have upped the accessability of the area.

 

Houston Intercontinental airport is 45 miles away and Houston Hobby is 21 miles away. There are several hotels within 5 miles of the port, but to my knowledge there are no car rental agencies very close.
