lynn2002 Posted August 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2013 Hi, yesterday we booked a disabled cabin for 3 people and it is on the Main Deck. It was the last inside disabled cabin that would accommodate three people. It is below the casino and piano bar and I'm a bit concerned about the noise at night from the passengers, and also the cleaning early in the morning. We normally are in bed by 10.30 as my friend who is disabled gets very tired and I have a young daughter. We're in cabin N1011. Has anyone had experience of this cabin or area in the ship and how noisy was it?
boulders Posted August 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2013 We were in cabin 1038 last year for 3 weeks. We did not hear any noise from the casino. The cabins are very well insulated. One potential issue I see with that cabin though is that they take the shore excursions out along that corridor, so you might find yourselves overrun by people going on shore excursions if you leave the cabin at the wrong time. RuthC Posted August 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I once had a cabin on that passageway, only slightly further back. I have to say that I didn't hear anything from overhead, and I was in prime territory to hear any noise. Now, it's possible that you are a lighter sleeper than I, and would hear things I didn't, but you have some assurance here. One other source of (brief) noise is the second show getting out---unless that's the show you go to, of course! :) Some folks avoid the wait for forward elevators by walking down the passageway to mid-ship. Again, that's only a short amount of time.
