Pier to rum factory

Can someone give me an idea of how long it takes to get from the cruise pier to the rum factory via cab and approximately how much the cab costs? Thanks!

The easiest & cheapest way is to disembark & head to the ferry terminal right next door to the pier in town. If you are at the pan Am Pier you have come in to OSJ. The ferry $1 pp round trip. When you get off the ferry you walk next door to a parking garage & pay $3 pp each way to the Bacardi factory. So it's $7 pp round trip.

How long would it take to do this? (Ferry,taxi,tour,taxi,ferry). We are sailing out of San Juan on October 13 but our flight doesn't get in until 1215 and then taxi to the port, check in,etc. I really want to do this but I am thinking that it might take too long.

Cruise lover -- it doesn't take that long. The ferry runs every 1/2 hour (I think) & takes about 1/2 hour - 20 minutes each way. The taxi rise is under 3 minutes. The tour itself is about 1/2 hour so in theory you could do this in about 2 hours. The problem is you may have to wait 1 - 2 hours to go on the tour because they have limited capacity. The last tour is at 4 (I think)
