A b8g thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this such a fun thread. Back to earth with a bump tomorrow and facing up to the prospect of a serious dose of harsh reality again.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with another photo from the cruise. This gannet in juvenile plumage spent quite a while yesterday "playing with the ship" and was an absolute delight to watch.

ANOTHER stunning photograph from the master!

Thank you so much for taking and sharing.

(A bird that size, and at speed, could have The Cat for a snack :) ).

Thanks again Cruachan :) .

Cruachan:

Ditto what pepper has written. Beautiful picture.

Pepper, if that bird had eaten The Cat, perhaps I would still have my lower status and be employed. ;) I do feel that The Cat will outlive us all and be grinning from ear to ear:D as the last of us are put six feet under.

Sorry, Cruachan, about your Disembarkment...a nasty word if ever there was one!

Thanks for the laughs,

seasidegal

Cruachan,

I have only subscribed to this forum for a few years but this thread has been a brilliant read and probably the best thread I have read on Cruise Critic and I take my hat off to you as being its instigator. You must take the credit for being its author.

My I present you with this:

As our most valuable Fashion Police asset, you are to remain at the safe house in the Pilbara (Western Australia) until further notice. Act on no communications unless personally signed by me and accompanied by the code word "Emerald".

Dear Louise D Roving Commander and Guardian of Fashion:

Last memo from Lower Class Detective Chief Superintendent Seasidegal:

Dated: Before being banished to the ordinary class due to my unforgiveable fashion faux pas.

In the matter of the Department's most valuable fashion asset, Assistant Commissioner Whitemarsh, I would state that his long sojourn in the Safe House has resulted in many fashion violations (sadly, mine included).

His steady and faithful hand in all matters of Fashion Etiquette has been without equal.

As a last request before my well deserved banishment, I would ask that for the sake of Fashion Advancement to All Classes, that Assistant Commissioner Whitemarsh, be sent from the Safe House back to the masses (of which I am included) who are sorely in need of his excellent guidance.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this manner of utmost importance,

Former Lower Class Detective Chief Superintendent Seasidegal.

Did somebody say emeralds? :)

Louise, thank you for taking command in my absence, in what appears to have been in the most trying of circumstances, and for doing such a sterling job.

Special mention to Sgt J. Christie for the informative and highly amusing reports from MS QV - well done sir!

And to Lower Class Detective Chief Superintendent Seasidegal, well done. It's always hard on your first assignment. If you're very nice I might be able to talk Roving Commander Louise D around and give you another assignment.
