wilinisa Posted September 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Does the Jitney stop at/near the John Watlings distillery? If so which one. Or is it easy to walk to...thank you for your replies!

Or is it easy to walk to...thank you for your replies! There are no jitneys close to to the Distillery. Once you walk to the Jitney stop, you 1/2 way there already. It's only about a 12 minute walk from the port. Closer that the beach.
wilinisa Posted September 23, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Thank you! Do you happen to know if there are maps of the area at the cruise port?
WineyWench Posted September 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Yes, they have maps right inside the building. Just did the walk and it is all up hill, something that most post don't mention.

Or is it easy to walk to...thank you for your replies! We are interested in doing the distillery tour when we are there as well in Dec. Wondering the cost (heard its free then heard different). Is it easy to find on your own? Anybody went to it already?
WineyWench Posted September 27, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2013 We went in August and it is free. We did tip the guy that told us about the history. Very different from the Jack Daniels distillery in Tn. It was pretty easy to find, but further than I expected. When you get to Grey Cliff you turn and it is right down that street. Rare CruisinCrow Posted September 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2013 We were there this past weekend. The tour is free and there are lots of signs pointing the way from Graycliff to the distillery. There is also a map on John Watling's Facebook page. We enjoyed it very much. The good part is that, after a rum dum or two, the walk back is all downhill!:) Also, stop in Graycliff for some really good chocolate.
