Question on Cabin mate not Elite

I am Elite but my cabin mate is not. How is this handled as to boarding, tendering, etc.

In January we did elite boarding and tendering with our elite friend. We were part of her party-if they would have asked we were all on the same reservation, but two cabins. No one at the pier questioned or on the way to the tenders.

catching the tender it depends on the crew if they allow you to board without the black card as you can be turned away and have to get a tender ticket

When we traveled with our DD and SIL. They were on the same reservation but a different cabin, yet they were able to stay with us and do all the things with us including the nightly cocktail parties. That was on the Crown.
