Stateroom Assignment Question

This is my first cruise where I didn't have a room assignment at booking so it's a waiting game between and now and next Thursday. If I don't have an assignment until I get to the pier what do I put on my luggage tag for the stateroom number?

Tom, if you've booked a GTY, you'll have a cabin. If you don't have an assignment before you get to the pier, just let the porter know. He'll look it up and write out a luggage tag for you. Good luck!
