Hey Doc........the bad news is no you won't see anything from the window,the railing is solid, but the good news is you're only steps from either door to get outside. I had the third balcony on the starboard side on our cruise in May and still stepped outside forward to view the glaciers and wildlife, your cabin is in an excellant location for outside access.
