RCI Legend Oslo to NJ via Iceland Sep 2014

Hi looking at this possibility Sep 2014 - Cruise from Oslo via Shetlands/Fahroe/Iceland/Newfoundland to NJ. anyone done this voyage and any feedback appreciated. Remoteness appeals but is there enough value in the ports?

Would hope to see northern lights; concerned re north sea conditions although this is best season....'

Friends of mine were in Iceland last month and saw a bit of Northern Lights, but they had to get way the way away from Reykjavik to see them (past the airport). If you are anchored to your ship it will probably be too bright in your area to see the Northern lights, unless you take an excursion (my friends were surrounded by tour buses -- they were in a rental car) out to the hinterlands.
