Christmas Eve - will shops etc be open?

You may find a few tourist shops open but don't count on too many stores being open. The floating market likely will be open as shoppers probably want fresh things for their Christmas dinners. :)

At the end of the year most Floating Market vendors go back to Venezuela to spend the holidays with their families. So typically only half the market (or less) will be open.

Shops will be open on the 24th, but you'll find that most people will hurry home around 5 pm.

On the 25th it will be very quiet downtown.

When there's a cruiseship in town, there will always be a couple of stores open, but the downtown area will not be as lively as usual.

Have a great cruise!

For December 31st - most stores will close around 4 pm.

There will be LOTS of fireworks, also downtown. So, if you have little children - carry earplugs.

Right outside the Riffort Village on the Brion square, there will be music and festivities starting around 9 pm. It will be REALLY crowded and people will be really happy and festive.

Have a fun cruise!
