Differences between Mid-Ship Balcony and Mini-Suite

I've only sailed NCL once, the Epic, and it was 3 of us in a Mini-Suite.... I am currently booked in a mid-ship balcony cabin for a Western Caribbean cruise on the Dawn in February.

I know there's about 80 square feet of additional space in the mini-suite (nothing to sneeze at)... but are there any other differences? Services? Amenities?

Right now the price difference to upgrade to a mini-suite is about $270 total. Is it worth it?

Thanks!

No extra service or amenities...you are getting a bigger cabin, bigger bathroom, bigger balcony, wider entrance hallway, longer couch, and longer counter space, a curtain divider, and a bit nicer decor. Having sailed in balconies and mini suites on the Dawn, I think 270 is a very good price difference. I tend to hesitate when the difference is 400 or higher. But that is me. For you, is all that extra space worth almost 40 dollars per day or would you prefer to use that money elsewhere? I hope this helps.

One thing to keep in mind....if you have an MA midship minisuite on the Dawn, the next step up would be the entry-level SJ 'window' suites. If the fare happens to go down after your final payment date, you may be able to get a free upgrade. It happened to us on the Dawn repo cruise last year.

While you lose the balconly, you do get all the 'suite-life' perks. And the floor to ceiling windows are very nice, and if you want to step outside, you are just steps away from the lido area....
