bigguy6 Posted November 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2013 We are leaving on the Emerald Princess on March 19th. We get back on March 29th, a Saturday, and the Ruby Princess will be getting back that day also. My question is: Which ship will get to return to dock #2 in the North Port area that Princess normally leaves from? In fact can both ships return to this area at the same time. I seem to remember on a prior cruise that another ship was docked there on the same day. So does anyone have any input on what to expect on that return day. P.S. On our departure day, a Wednesday, we are the only Princess ship in port and therefore would I assume leave from dock #2.
chrysalis Posted November 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2013 Hard to know...that has happened to us many times. You will not know until a week before or thereabouts.
chrysalis Posted November 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2013 Are you asking because of car parking?
Vexorg Posted November 22, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2013 If there are two Princess ships at Port Everglades, typically the larger one will get pier #2. If both ships are the same size, I believe the more regularly scheduled one gets priority. The last time Emerald Princess was docked at Port Everglades with another Princess ship in port, it docked at pier #22. Shuttle service is provided for people that need to return to different parking lots.

chrysalis Posted November 22, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) yes See the other reply.....they have a shuttle but I have also just grabbed a cab while DW watched our bags and I have driven over to pick her up, and then we are off. That saves having to wait for the shuttle bus to fill. It will cost a few dollars, tho and the shuttle is free. Sometimes I have parked where the ship will return if I know in advance (the baggage handlers have told me) Edited November 22, 2013 by chrysalis
