Freedom Sailing 11/24-30

We were on the Freedom this past week and had a great time but were disappointed in this cruise compared to the other Carnival cruises (2 others) that we were previously on. It seems the economy feel of this line is more apparent than ever before. The ship is dated and the service was not nearly as impressive as before. We were previously on the Liberty and Imagination.

This is 2 weeks in a row people have stated they were unhappy with the Freedom. Service and ship. Not exactly what I was hoping for since Ill be on the last sailing prior to dry dock :cool:

I did a b2b in August on her and didn't have any issues, I'm sailing her again on December 9th, I'm hoping for a great cruise like always, I've been on 11 cruises and haven't had a bad one yet ( knock on wood )

I was on the 11/16 sailing and we had a great time. Service was excellent !:)

Oh, I did see some rust on the Lido Deck steps. :o

imo this is the key. so many people seem to be disappointed because their cruise wasn't as good as prior cruises. each cruise is different each ship is different. sail with an open mind and have a great cruise. in my book any day on the sea is better than a day at work or even a day off hanging out at home.

We were on it in Sept for a 8 day and had a wonderfull time. It was my 10th cruise on Carnival and would rate it a 10. Weather, service, food, all a 10. It is a few years old and is going into dry dock for upgrades in April. ;)

Did they have the holiday decorations up? I heard they were decorating the ship on Nov 24. We sailed the week before and really enjoyed it. Service was very good -- just finished my post cruise survey!

I am also shocked.

 

The color scheme on the Freedom is what I think could make it look "dated" but it isn't that old. It had it's first sailing in 2007.

 

We loved the Freedom and will be excited with the dry dock is over so we can head back out on her! :-)

We have been on the Freedom many times and just recently Oct.5th and had a wonderful time and terrific crew. Going back on her Jan.11th. Can't wait to be her again!! :)
