david_sobe Posted December 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2013 NCL announced on December 11 that Getaway will have 2 shows of the Wine Lovers Musical. It is a musical around tasting 5 different wines and costs $25 per person. There will be 2 shows per sailing. This will also be on the NCL Pearl. I did some research and found something to expect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGlDziEXK2c
ColinIllinois Posted December 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Yikes. I'll pass but thanks for the info. :)
CruisinMaterial Posted December 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Now this looks like such a better offering than the Second City's new show on Breakaway about some messed up family reunion. This actually has potential and a wine tasting to boot! I can imagine this happening in the Illusionarium on sea days.

CruisinMaterial Posted December 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2013 You are correct. That is where it is happening. The exclusivity of the Mandavi wines makes me wonder just how much of a sampling it'll be but the show looks entertaining. :) Too bad the Getaway's itinerary is so stale! :( Maybe if it's a success they'll roll this out to more ships and have Second City take a back seat. DedeM Posted March 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2014 I'm going to do it (assuming I get tix), I'll let you know how it is. :) I kind of like that it's interactive (tasting wines) instead of just passively watching.
