Which is better all around; June or September?

We want to do a cruise with a few days (probably on our own) before the cruise on land. We are leaning towards Princess because of Glacier Bay.

 

We want to see whales and wildlife. Which time would be better, Mid-June or early September?

I would pick June because of longer daylight hours

A little reading down the board would suggest June is far better than September.

Overall, June would be my slight choice. Bonus is the daylight, which is a priority for me, but NOT for most, as I am frequently out by myself. :) Past the first week of Sept, is too short. IF you add the last week of August for a 2 week trip, northbound sailing, Denali is fantastic in the fall.
