Help Needed PLEASE!!

Recommended Posts

We are leaving out of Cape Liberty on Sept. 23rd and were wondering if it was a rule that you HAVE to take the shuttle to the ship. or can you walk? I have read in previous posts about dropping off passengers and luggage then parking, then taking a shuttle to the ship. If we do decide to walk from the drop off point, approximately how far is it from there to the ship?

Thanks for your help

The shuttle takes you from the parking lot to the check in building (or whatever it's called), from there you board a bus which takes you to the ship. You cannot walk to the ship.

Just to enlarge on what kewlguy said (not that it wasn't clear, kewlguy :D)

The Bayonne port is just an old cargo marine terminal. It's not prettified or cleaned up. They don't want you walking through this cluttered, dirty, liability-ridden area.

The cruise ships dock at the far end of the pier, and the terminal is on land close by the parking lot. You can walk from where you park your car to the check-in terminal, it's absurdly close, but you and your carry-on bags MUST take the shuttle bus from terminal out to the ship itself. It's quick and painless.

Thanks Carol. That's what I intended to say. ;)
