JLawes Posted January 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2014 Hi, how do people travel from Heathrow to Southampton. We're booked with Iglu who last year provided transport for us back to Southampton where we left our car. Talking to passengers last year on board some of them travelled down to Southampton by coach, travelled back the same way too. This year Iglu have no transport as of yet from Heathrow to Southampton. If we don't take our car down to southampton this year how do I arrange transport? What coach company do I use? I heard people say they got the coach in to Victoria in London then on to Southampton, but what about arrangements for travelling back? This is the only part I'm stumped with and any help would be great Jackie

John Bull Posted January 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx National Express coaches go direct from Heathrow to Southampton, no need to go into London & back out again. You do need to know which terminal at Heathrow in order to book. And you do need to book because they often book-out. Coaches leave from Heathrow central bus station, if your terminal is T1 or T2 or T3 it's a short well-signed walk to the bus station. They then call at T4 and T5 (bus lane on the concourse outside both terminals)before heading to Southampton . Your destination is Southampton coach station - don't click on cruise ship terminal, that only applies to Fred Olsen sailings. Then its a short taxi hop - £5 to £8 - to your car. There's a taxi rank at Southampton coach station. Takes about 2 hours. Very easy. JB :) Edited January 15, 2014 by John Bull
