Hotels in New York and Orlando / Port Canaveral

Hi we have booked on Quantum's inaugural in November and are hoping to spend a couple of days in NY. Any suggestions for hotels, we will arrive at JFK from England. We are also hoping to go to Orlando /Port Canaveral for a few days when we return, so again any suggestions would be welcome as we have not been stayed in these areas before.

My wife and I will arrive in NY late afternoon 19th Nov sailing on the Quantum on the 23rd so 1 double room at an average price for NY as I am aware that prices vary greatly. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

There is no such thing as an average price. How much are you willing to spend?

Hotels such as the Verve and Country Inn & Suites in Long Island City, Queens are often recommended as inexpensive alternatives to staying in Manhattan.

When we go to NYC, it's for a theater weekend, so we like to stay as close to Times Square (and the theater district) as possible, but many people don't recommend that location because it crowded and touristy.
