Rare PaulMCO Posted February 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2014 Thought I would post my photos from our recent Silversea Explorer trip to the Falklands, S. Georgia and the Antarctic peninsula. Really enjoyed our trip -- as everyone does it is a trip of a lifetime. The staff and crew on Silversea was great. Always at least 2 daily excursions/zodiacs. Plenty of time to decompress/relax between these.
simonpjd Posted February 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2014 I hope you realise how lucky you were. Flat calm and lots of sunshine. We were rolling around all over the place in quite rough seas and didnt see the sun once. So our pictures are all the same but not as good because of the light. Looks a great trip. Yepper -- we even had the Drake Lake. The only rough spots were from Falkland to South Georgia. However the Explorer does bounce around (rocks) and there was generally about 10 to 15% passengers seasick during the rough time 10 foot seas (not so rough).
