susanNjay Posted February 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2014 I am familiar with suite perks...what I need to know is what the *Serenade* suite perks are... (since perks vary from ship to ship) priority boarding in NOLA...(time, helpful hints?) private breakfast in the ____ ? prime seating ? departure breakfast location ? Any other helpful comments would be very appreciated.:):) --Susan
Clarea Posted February 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Regarding priority boarding in New Orleans, they put suites in a separate waiting room which get to board first. Don't remember the exact time boarding began, but somewhere around 11:30am to noon.
cruisenfever Posted February 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Breakfast for Gold Card Holders will be in Chops on Deck 6. Continental Breakfast will be available for Gold Card Holders in Chops on the morning of debarkation. If you want a full breakfast you will have to use either the MDR or the WJ. Hi Patti....we just spent 2 weeks on Serenade and there was no breakfast in Chops for Gold Card Holders on our sailings. Wish there had been as we've enjoyed that in the past. On the Brilliance TA in August, the first Canada/NE cruise in Sept and the Oct 20 Canada/NE cruise the small area off the Windjammer was for Gold Card holders all day and there was no breakfast in Chops. For the Boston to Tampa repo they had a wonderful breakfast in Chops in addition to the Gold Card area in the Windjammer. Glad to hear Jim is feeling better and you'll be cruising again soon. :) Edited February 17, 2014 by suzyluvs2cruise

When we did our b2b in October 2012, we had breakfast in Chops and it was so so the first cruise and then a little better the second because they developed a new menu. They had a small section roped off in the small room off the WJ with the wicker chairs for Gold Card Holders for lunch. Glad to hear that they brought breakfast back to Chops. Thanks for your kind words.........he is feeling better and we are looking forward to our b2b in April.

There was a sign by the opening and the room had the same tables/chairs as the rest of the WJ. Nothing roped off so anyone who wanted to came in and ate there. We never know what to expect as RCI is consistently inconsistent. Forgot to mention we had also been on Serenade for 24 days in May in Europe. Nothing special there either. Dietcokediva Posted February 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2014 I'm interested in knowing this as well. We will be sailing on her in March and really enjoyed the special area last year on Indy for breakfast and lunch. Thanks. Keep calm and cruise on
Missus Makkem Posted February 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2014 We too were disappointed at no special place for Breakfast on Serenade after using Portofino on Adventure which was excellant.
susanNjay Posted April 28, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted April 28, 2014 We were on the 4/19/14 sailing of Serenade and there was a special location for suite breakfasts--the 5th floor of the dining room was reserved for suites. Also, the front two rows of the theater's deck six seating were reserved. --Susan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cindy Posted April 28, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I hope they have the separate area for breakfast and lunch next March...to me that's one of the biggest perks of being in a suite.
