peppergal Posted March 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Correct, no need to get a visa ahead of time for NZ. Just so you don't freak out when filling out your arrival card, when it talks about a visa on there it's talking about applying for an on the spot free visa as part of your arrival. Rare Keith1010 Posted March 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2014 You just go on line and do a google search for the Australia ETA. You apply on line and just have your passport with you as you will need some information from that. You will pay and you will get an ETA number. That's all you do and it is good for one year from time of issuance. Keith

You can get your visa from them and I've used them before for this and it's a great, simple process. Felicia
buchhalm Posted March 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2014 Use the Australian government website directly. There is ONLY the visa fee to be paid and no other fees or commissions. http://www.immi.gov.au/Services/Pages/visitor-visa-online-applications.aspx USA passport holders can apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (sub class 601). Done on line in a few minutes and the cost is AUD 20.-

Tronoboy Posted May 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2014 A friendly suggestion is that this question should be made to the authority that sets the rules (i.e embassy), so that your vacation will not be spoiled because your personal details, that someone on this site trying to be helpful was not aware of.
