Who can possibly spend that much on drinks? I think it's way too expensive for the budget

That is a matter of personal opinion....to me, if you spread 7-8 drinks out over the course of a day then it is worth it. I could spread 7-8 drinks out over the day, with meals and snacks in between and be completely sober.

I'm trying this out next month on the Liberty. We always do all-inclusive vacations, after our first cruise bar bill was more than the cost of the cruise. We have't cruised since that one. Now adding the money for the drink package may make the cruise cost as much as the all-inclusive, but that's ok when the cruise actually becomes "all-inclusive"

Should be no problem. I figure when I start with soda at breakfast, then a drink or 2 by the pool or at lunch. Then another when returning from port, and while waiting at the bar before dinner. More soda at dinner, followed by an after dinner cocktail and then a few more during the evening entertainment :)

We were recently on the Miracle (7 day Mexican Riviera). We had 3 adults on the package (daughter is only 6 years old and not required to purchase the soda package....as some other cruise lines require). The pre-dinner Kettle One martini was over $9.00 each. Also, wine with dinner was generally $8.00 and up. We liked to have a "dessert" Chocolate Martini after dinner. Between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., the two martinis and two glasses of wine would have cost roughly $36.00 without Cheers. That left 20 hours to make it to the breakeven point. I would like to add that grandma, who wanted to make Cheers a great deal $$$, was the only one to make it to the 15 drink limit. She drank mostly low proof items but did love the tiramisu martinis!

I can.........it's not uncommon for me to have 2 or 3 Bloody Mary's before noon, then through the day have 4 or 5 Margarita's or Mojito's, then a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, then 3 or 4 drinks in the casino or at the shows in the evening.

I probably average 12 drinks in a 15 hour period.

We have decided to purchase the cheers program for our up comming Breeze cruise in September 8nights/9 days. We have never done it before but decided that it would be really really nice to just order what ever drink , when ever and not worry about the "bar" bill at the end of the cruise. Like many have previously posted we will be able to explore "new" drinks , if we don't care for them we won't feel badly just leaving the rest of it (not as likely if you are paying $11-$12 for a drink) . Just want this cruise to be "over the top" for both of us! It is our 30th cruise togeather (love love love cruising) oddly enough all the ports of this trip are new to us, got a SPA room ( so we can enjoy the cloud 9 Spa ammenities easily) . So we figured why not, lets do the Cheers program too!!!

We are going on another cruise in December on Royal Carribean (my husband won this cruise! ) And on Royal both adults in the same room DO NOT have to purchase the program. Which honestly is the way I think it should be!

We were out to dinner the other night at a Japanese steak house and our table mates had recently been on the Breeze and did do the Cheers program and loved it!!! So I feel really good about our decisiion to GO FOR THE GUSTO on this next cruise!!!

Honesly I think it is pretty easy to go through 7 or more drinks over the course of 24 hours on the boat without getting drunk! I enjoy a couple of glassses of wine with dinner and love Bloody Mary with a late breakfast/brunch while on vacation.

CHEERS mates! My mind is definatley made up!!! Can't wait!
