Panama Canal Price Drop

We are booked on the Coral Princess for the partial transit of the Panama Canal on March 10, 2015. The pricing seems high at this time, but I am hoping the price will drop perhaps this summer or fall? Has anyone who has booked a Panama Canal partial transit cruise noticed price drops during the summer or fall?

 

Looking forward to the cruise but hopefully some price drops would make a great cruise even better!

We booked that same cruise on the Coral for this past February of 2014, back in April/May of of 2013. They did have a nice price drop in September. We had a mini-suite and it dropped almost $1400. The others on the roll call had drops of $600+ from what they reported.

 

That's a nice itinerary, enjoy your cruise and hopefully it will drop before then.

There is no way to predict a price drop, they are evaluated frequently based on demand for cabins. Could go up. Could go down.

No idea if they drop it, but we did see significant and multiple price drops on our Feb. cruise. And, ironically enough, it was oversold. Go figure.:confused:

Our January Panama Canal had a couple of sales, one of which really dropped the prices dramatically. We jumped on that and saved big bucks (and kept our original cabin). Then later prices started to rise and the cruise was eventually sold out.

 

So you have to watch the prices constantly (or get a service like cruise fish or the new Cruise Critic Price Drop to do it for you).

Thank you all for your replies. We are keeping our fingers crossed and will constantly monitor the prices. In the past we have always had price drops on previous cruises on Princess and although I know nothing can be promised, we are hoping we will see some reductions.

 

In the meantime, we have a great cabin booked and have signed up for the cruise critic price watch but will check out cruise fish!
