Craps Minimum Bet went up on Magic

Just an FYI for other low rollers...The Min Bet was $10 on our Carnival Magic Cruise 3/30/2014 - 4/6/2014. It was $5 on our other cruises (2009 and 2012).

Poker is still $1/$2 NL.

...Strange, never saw $10 min bet for Craps on Carnival before, and I play all the time. Were the tables busy all week? Perhaps this was a Premier Casino week with some bigger players sailing.

We played at least once/day for 5 days and it was $10 each time. I never asked the dealers if this was the new norm. No, the table was not always busy. It was empty most of the time during the days (if open at all) and busy off and on at night.

The table seemed busier with a $5 min when we sailed on the Magic a couple years ago.

It had $10 min on our December cruise also. Casino manager determine what min is and I have cruised another time and he was on triumph and he raised it then also. Luckily on my December cruise it was a very nice trip higher min meant nicer wins but it also kept the normal $5 players on the table for very little time if they could not handle the bigger fluctuations in up and down play. $10 min is not the norm is just what this casino manager is known for. Had a long talk with him about it, he did not care if his dealers sometime just stand there and not deal because $5 players felt they did not have the bankroll. I will say this a $10 table will get you the drinks on us card pretty fast. Most of the regulars on my cruise had the card by Tuesday.

The $10.00 dollar tables will keep the rookie ,players off the tables , They can ruin the whole table not hitting when they should ,or hitting when they should not. Myself I like the 10.00 tables a lot more , More $$ made there

This is about $10 min in craps not BJ. Unlike BJ when I like to play with only a couple of people, I prefer a full table at craps because it is a lot of fun as long as the dealers can pay proper and the rookies keep their hands out of the throw zone.
