britneyangel Posted July 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2005 I just ordered my phone from www.mobal.com and am waiting for it to arrive. The cell number given is a uk number, so people calling you will be dialing long distance. Calls to the US from the phone in Europe are about $1.50 per min. Merion_Mom Posted July 31, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2005 Sorry - I thought that brevity is the soul of wit, but I can expand on my earlier post. Telestial will sell you a phone with international capabilities, mail it to you at home, and sell you a SIMM card for whatever country (ies) you will be visiting. You can buy different packages of minutes. With most, if not all, packages, all incoming calls and text messages are free. Outgoing calls are VERY reasonable, but vary by country. When returning to the U.S., you CAN buy U.S. Simm card and continue to use it here. I used my friend's phone (from telestial) in Italy, and it functioned BEAUTIFULLY. She and her son had already used it, and found that it worked great, too. Now that she's home and *I'm* not using it anymore, she bought that aforementioned U.S. Simm card and now has an extra cell phone. :) Carol
