Casino Question on Reflection

The reflection has a great casino! Great setup and as with every Celebrity casino we have experienced, wonderful staff! Very helpful lessons for new players and experienced dealers who are friendly and helpful with tips. Normally there are penny slots up. Tables range from $5 or $10 minimum. The location of a ship will determine the minimums. The supervisors and mangers welcome any questions. I learned to play blackjack on a ship over 30 years ago. It's the best way for some passengers to relax!

Has anyone gambled in the casino on the Reflection? How was your experience. What are the minimums on the tables and what are the minimums on the slots?

Roulette: Typically you can place $1 bets but must play a min of $10 per spin, so that could = ten $1 bets or 2 $5 bets or whatever.

Blackjack: Occasionally you'll find a table with a $6 minimum. Usually the lowest table minimum is $10. Often only one table with the minimum and other tables' minimums are $15 or $25 or higher.

I don't play craps, Caribbean stud poker, etc. so can't comment on those.

The casino is very nice. NO SMOKING which is such a great way to gamble. The staff are helpfull and enjoy answering questions. the poker slots go from .25 to 5.00 dollars. Lots of penny slots and nickle slots.

We found some of the table dealers went very fast and made some mistakes with payouts to the players. So watch for that.I got a royal on the poker slots, so of course I'm happy with this casino.

If you ever have a dealer who makes a mistake and doesn't pay you, ask a pit boss to have someone review the "eye in the sky" tapes. I once got a really puzzled look on my face after the blackjack dealer didn't pay me and the cards were quickly swept away. I really thought I had beat the dealer's hand, but figured I must have been mistaken. The dealer asked me what was wrong and a pit boss/supervisor happened to overhear. I really didn't even ask them to look at the tapes, they insisted. A few minutes later, the boss returned and said they had checked and I was correct and should have been paid on the hand in question and they made it right. I don't think the mistake was on purpose, but dealers are human and will err occasionally.

On my cruise earlier this month, there was no minimum on the inside (number) bets, so you could bet as little as $1 per spin. The minimum for outside (odd/even, etc.) was just $5. These minimums seemed to be in effect whenever I was there.

On a rare occasion, there was an error in a payout -- I simply mentioned it to the dealer and it was quickly corrected. One time, I pointed out that my losing bet was not removed -- the dealer refused to take it, so I let it ride (and lost, of course).

The best, however, for me, is the no smoking policy.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip waterbug. In no way am I blaming the dealers. They are fun and personable. I think what happened was there was so much action and fun and talking at this blackjack table the dealer was not paying attention to my hand. Luckily my husband was behind me and pointed out to the dealer what had happened. the cards had just been taken so was able to rectify the situtation. We both love the casino on the Reflection.

Off the Reflection a couple weeks ago. Everyone in our party of 8 left the casino with more than we went in with. Husband actually won about 2500 playing craps. Craps table had 10 dollar min and black jack had a 10 to 15 dollar min. Most slots were penny slots.

Yes, I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. When betting on individual numbers (or splitting the line between two numbers, or the corner between 4 numbers) you can bet a minimum of $1. The outside bets are $5 minimum... red/black, even/odd, 1st/2nd/3rd twelve, or betting an entire column.

Another clarification: While there is generally a minimum of $10 total that you need to have on the table, the dealers will often waive that if there are only 1 or two people playing. However, if the table is full and people are waiting to play, they are more likely to strictly enforce it. I've seen people only betting $2-3 total and when it gets crowded, the dealers tell them they need to play the table minimum or leave, so that others who are willing to bet more can play.

We were also on the Reflection earlier this month. I'd disagree that most slots were penny. I'm not a big slot player, but did play a little bit and looked for that "lucky" machine. I saw slots in all denominations, included lots that allowed you to select the wager from 25 cents to $5, on the same machine. Yes, there were plenty of penny slots, but also plenty in other denominations.

What are the minimum bets on a penny slot? The reason I ask, recently on the Royal Princess the minimum bet on a penny slot was .20 to .90 cents depending on the machine, no true penny slots. Going on X next!

Thanks

I had the same question about penny slots. What is the minimum bet on them. In my experience on cruise ships the minimum is usually on the high side but I have not gambled on celebrity in a long time and was wondering how their machines were
