Review of our Spring Break '14 Cruise on Carnival Pride

Topher's island friend chose to spend the day with Karen;

 

 

 

 

 

The most recognized site in the Caribbean (Topher) and a Carnival ship;

 

 

 

Topher swims well, but he seems to prefer walking upright in the water;

Karen never did get a good seal on her mask so she ended up drinking half the Caribbean;

 

 

 

 

 

This young lady decided that she was my Mother and that I needed a nice sand shampoo;

 

 

 

 

While we played in the water our home away from home sat nearby;

 

 

This is NOT a snorkeling video or a scenery video, it's simply a lazy day playing in the water at Jack's Shack;

As I recall the last time I had a sand shampoo and bath was a few years back at Cocoa Beach and Britt was the shampooer. My 'Mother' for the day at Grand Turk certainly made sure I was well scrubbed;

Luckily for me I use a Neti Pot with saltwater for my sinuses in the winter because my Mother insisted on flushing my mouth and nose out with saltwater;

Looks like the Pride was the only ship in port that day. Did another ever show up. Last year there were 2 ships and it was crazy at the pool. No chairs etc. How can you find out if another ship will be there or not?.

Next time you go to Grand Turk, at the end of the dock, go right, instead of left, towards Jack's Shack.

If you walk for maybe 5 minutes, you come across the Conch Graveyard.

We were the only ship that day.

 

I use CruiseTT to check for how many people will be in port with us. Marine Traffic also lists ports and ship location. Many of the individual ports also list what ships are to be in port on a given day. Many of the sites have varying info so using more than one or two will give a better idea of exactly who will be where and when.

Conch hunters were headed back to the ship as we were just headed out to the Graveyard;

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conch shells are literally everywhere;

Anytime the lines are that long, there's no need to rush to stand in them;

We decided that when the line was to the corner of the pier we'd go join it;

 

 

Carnival excursions were still returning so we knew that they wouldn't be leaving too soon;

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ship's officers always like to keep an eye on returning guests;

I have no clue. I zoomed in on several and they say VIP. Karen, Spencer, and Britt are all wearing them, but I don't have one. I'm not sure when, where, or why they are wearing them? :confused: Britt is at a friends house, Spencer's at a ball game, and Karen is on call and still at work, but I'll ask them when they get home.

 

Good Eye! I guess it proves I don't pay attention to what other people are wearing! :D
