Cabin 2220. to be specific. Did you get seasick? to be specific. Was it quiet? did you have a sofa? Would you book it again?

thanks for any information. it looks like a good cabin at a good price, I worry about the motion....in regard to sea sick issues but I can buy and take Sea Sick pills. They worked well before. I hope it is quiet. I hope it has a sofa.

My first cruise was on Liberty in room 2221, same room but other side of the ship. My brother was in 2220... We were both fine but both my wife and his were a little sea sick. We had 4 kids between us ranged about 1.5 to 9 that were all fine.

As far as noise, it wasn't bad. You knew when you were coming in and out of ports but that didn't last long. A. Couple nights it was rough and you could hear the waves outside.

I wouldn't have a problem staying in one again, and it has lead to making cruising an annual thing. Hope that's helpful.

I had 2221 on the Freedom, same layout as Liberty, and I had no problem with the room. There was a sofa. I only felt motion on a couple of nights, but it was not bad, more like gentle rocking. I did hear the waves on those evenings as well, but I got a accustomed to it quickly. I did not get seasick at all, but am not really prone to it.

If I was back in the room early, about 10pm, you could hear a little noise from the theater which is above, but not bad, just some footsteps, and all was quiet by midnight. As the other poster said, coming in and out of port your could hear noise from the "anchor?" or Im not sure what, but it was only for a few minutes.

I would book this room again in a heartbeat. I am fine with interior rooms, but I do like to have that bit of natural light and a glimpse outside.:)

We had an inside cabin on the Upper Deck., .the last inside cabin before the "secret" deck and I did fine. My Husband was in the Coast Guard so he can and has sailed through a gale on Princess...and not missed a meal.

I loved the quiet of that room. When I took a ruler and measured the ship deck pictures in my Carnival Brochure....Our Cabin on the Liberty is about the same distance from the Bow as our Inside cabin on the Upper deck.

Having some light coming is.......................very good. My husband is a bit claustrophobic in inside cabins. And he has been spoiled. Our last few cruises have been balconies ...due to good rates....but I am THRILLED at the rates for this cabin. I am already thinking reservations at the Steak House on the first night.......things like that.

Thanks again. Happy sails to all of you.

That porthole light is like medicine. I've had a true inside cabin, and although some are content with them, I'm not. I'd go again with an inside if it meant go on the cruise or not, but till then, a porthole is the answer for me.

We are booked in 2217...any problems sleeping on that sofa? We are 2 gals on a girls getaway and like the OP just could not pass up the price for a porthole versus the interior with twin beds..was $400 more!!!

You right the port hole cabins are the best deal on the ship, you pay an inside rate but see light. I've stayed in port hole cabins many times, no problems. The only down side you are far from everything.

Ruthless Boss...some have a twin and a sofa that they make into a twin...some have a twin and an upper berth...we had to be very sure we got the twin and the sofa cause neither one of us wanted to climb up and down...as it is we are each doing 4 nites on the sofa to be fair..oh,my aching back..lol!!!

Are all PT's on Liberty equipped with only 1 bed? I've been in PT's on other ships, but they had 2 twins. I just thought they all had 2 beds.

PT's have two beds that can be pushed together to make 1 bed or left as 2 beds. The ones that have a sofa and a single, or an upper and a lower are not PT's, they are 1A's. So as you can see not all rooms with portholes are PT's. There are 2 categories that have portholes, PT and 1A.

I have been in a 1A on the Dream, cabin 2217 with portholes. And we have a PT booked on the Splendor and on the Valor. We have no problem with them or we certainly wouldn't keep booking them.

With the rate I got for that PT ( and it is on the main deck. .which I love!! and even the location ! We are close to the MDR where ATD passengers dine. And We are on the RIGHT side of the Dining Room doors..one deck up or down. one or the other. We always get on the wrong side of the middle MDR and then have to up or down and get around to the REAL door. We never seem to learn. And the Casino is straight up to Five. My husband donates generously to them. You do have to through the shops. I like that. Always see something to take home to the Grand Princess....our toddler grand daughter. I am very happy. Thanks to all of you.again.

We did just get a casino offer.up 40% off of Fun Select rates which is less than military. It is not a free cabin but still.....We received it too late to book the PT, but it is good through Jan.30 2015.

I have been looking at PT rates for Fall 2014....October or November ( 44th anniversary) and the rates are WOW! Eye popping! if anyone is going to cruise then....check them out.

NOW We can afford TWO cruises. .and not have to stretch to do it. Our budget for one...is now enough for TWO..by booking the PT. As we eat three meals a day, I play bingo, we go to the Casino..me to piddle him to play roulette...I see the shows...I go to Tea..I play Bingo..He slips around and goes to the Art Lectures sometimes. ( he loves them. He is a history nut..not an art aficionado ) he hangs out on the rail with his cigar...chews it ..not smokes.( meets the nicest people out there!!) we play every Trivia game we can play.......and we are not that much in the cabin.

I like hearing the waves. The anchor..DH says they don't drop it that much, and we are not noise troubled anyway. he is half deaf in one ear ( shells going off during training Viet Nam period..Fort May, NJ. Not disabled .just a nuisance.)

So...long story short...Thanks for the help and your expertise. We are going to be cruising like gang busters!! TWO in Five months, God Willing...and WOW! Love it!

We had 2221 on glory. Porthole. It was great having the extra room.

That said, on the evening we had rough seas it was SIGNIFICANTLY worse (motion wise) when we ate dinner, and when I picked up kids from 11 at camp carnival. We slept fine.

During these rough seas we also did hear the waves loudly crash. It sounded like the metal was being ripped apart. It was scary at first, but those weather conditions only lasted about a day and a half.

Pic would book this room again.
