No different than going to an atm in your hometown (other than it costs 5 - 6.00 per transaction). It's not tied to your sail and sign at all. Be aware that any cruise ship ATM may run out of cash before the end of the cruise, so it isn't a sure thing to depend on it for your cash needs. CHOPPERTESTER Posted May 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) ATMs onboard do run out of cash and do charge a high fee per transaction. There are other methods to use your sail & sign card and get US funds. It involves the casino and the slot machines. Not the tables or the casino cashier directly. Best of all, if you use a points card to pay off the sail & sign balance at the end of the cruise, then you get points you would not normally get for a cash withdrawal. riffatsea Posted May 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2014 The ATMs on board charge something like$6 per transaction so I wouldn't take money out of it unless it was an emergency!! ATMs by definition always take money out of your bank account everywhere in the world(including on ships)
