I adjusted my Pizzele recipe a bit & use a wood dowel I got at Home Depot....

 

Than is a great idea. Bet they taste great.

 

This is what I use for the shells

 

3 Tbsp. of shortening

2 cups of flour

2 Tbsp. sugar, granulated

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 marsala wine

1 egg slightly beaten

 

Of course I fry them using the molds that I have.
