too hot in August for Chaccoben Mayan Ruins?

Average day time highs can be in the low 90s. A bit humid too as this is in the middle of their rainy season. Probably 1/2 the days in august see rain most of the day and you're likely to get brief showers in the afternoons. Also chance of tropical storms and hurricanes. But if you're hydrated (bring water) and in A/C transportation to and fro, think of it as just being outside part of the day in the summer at home. It's not that much cooler at the beach, BTW. So your only respite is to stay inside your cabin all day.
