how about tangier? we will be there on a cruise in november...

A Dead Man in Tangier, Michael Pearce

 

Full disclosure: I have read only the first three Michael Pearce books in the series; I haven't gotten to this one (#4) yet. But I love the others, so I'm fairly confident in my recommendation.
