Please help with hotel at Bayonne

We will be cruising with a group out of Bayonne in late September. What Hampton hotel are you speaking about. We are looking for 6 rooms with parking and transfers. Kind of confused reading all the different reviews. We are driving in from the Pittsburgh Pa. area. Any help on hotels would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ok - so it makes no sense to park at the pier for $171.

Your other option is to contact Trinity-reservations directly to see if they can accommodate your group at the Ramada Plaza at Newark Airport. Their rate is $208 tax included for a room, 21 days free parking, and "free" round trip shuttle to Cape Liberty. Please note that the only way you can use their shuttle is to be a registered guest for the park/sleep/shuttle offer. This offer is not open to cruisers just overnighting at the hotel.

What route are you coming in on from Pittsburgh? It's a long drive and you may want to factor in the extra time to get to and from Staten Island plus the $13 bridge toll. The Ramada Plaza is one of the closest Newark hotels to the port and is right by Exit 14 on the NJ Turnpike.

I am not sure of the exact route, we will be crossing the state probably via Pa. turnpike. Will be getting off Harrisburg area eventully taking I 78East.

We live in Pittsburgh as well, North Hills to be exact. We leave about 5:30 am and drive the Turnpike to Harrisburg and take the Interstat (can't remeber which one it's in the GPS) to Bayonne. With gas stops it's about 6 hours. Kind of makes the first night a short one but not bad. Not that big of a napper or it wouldn't be.

Coming in I78 the Ramada Plaza is on Frontage Road near the intersection with Exit 14 of the NJ Turnpike. The Hampton Inn on Staten Island is another 20-30 minutes and about $16 rt in additional tolls without an EZPass.
