Shuttle service in Ft. Lauderdale

Anyone have any experience to take a shuttle from airport to hotel or to a liberty of the sea port. How is the service and how much cost per person?

Regular taxis are plentiful and inexpensive between FLL airport, the area hotels, and the port. It's the best way to go!

Don't make same mistake we used to.

 

I spent a considerable amount of time finding a free shuttle to port.

 

Found one...nice place. Walked up to the shuttle (think sardines), turned around to look at husband and he was laughing. I knew right then and there he had ZERO intention of getting on that shuttle. We laugh about it today.

 

Pick a hotel for whatever other reason other than transportation to/from port. Taxis are so cheap and readily available.

We've expereinced both good and bad shuttle service. If your hotel offers a free shuttle, call them ahead of time to inquire as to how their service works. Do you need to call? Do you just walk over to the shuttle pickup area?

 

Knowing the procedure and what to expect will make the entire process go more smoothly.

Cabs are only $15 or so from the airport or nearby to the port. Don't choose the hotel for the shuttle.There are lots of recs here.
