Pacific Princess vs Grand Class Ships

We sailed the Sapphire earlier this year on a short coastal, as she was starting to be tweaked for the new Japan / Asia itineraries. Very similar to the others, but every ship has a different "feel" and we enjoyed her very much.

"tweaked" in what way? Just curious.

For our 40th anniversary we want to do something special and this trip includes some pre-cruise days in a Moorea premium OWB (which has always been on our "someday list"). We considered a Med cruise but knew it'd be go-go-go so FP also appealed to us for both its beauty and R&R (which is high on our priority list).

We did compare Princess vs PG vs O to FP and found the latter two to be more expensive than Princess when comparing what would be our pertinent apples-to-apples.

Granted we're using miles for the air but even looking at including retail airfare for two with Princess we find the other two more $ for the comparable cabin level (Owners Suite on Pacific Princess).

Yeah, once you start going high end cabins on Oceania all comparisons are off. I was looking at a basic balcony for my price comparison
