Best Noordam Ocean View Cabin advice

We would like some advice on booking an Ocean View Cabin on the Noordam. Would like a quiet room with no noise coming from public spaces above. Also would be great, if not too far from an elevator. We would like an unobsructed view and if there is a larger Ocean View cabin, that would also be great. Thanks for any information.

We prefer inside cabins if we want to save.

A great alternative for that are obstructed view cabins on deck 4.

We never book regular ocean view cabins.

There is no much of "viewing experience" there. They are located low and the window is just a window.

"Obstructed view" on deck 4 have floor to ceiling windows equal to balcony doors in size.

They are much livelier.

Take a look at the outside cabins on Main Deck, especially those aft of the aft elevator. They are low enough to get a close view of the sea. The aft cabins are under the carpeted area of the dining room, so should be quiet during waking hours.

I have been in an obstructed outside on Upper Promenade, where the windows are the equivalent of a sliding door that doesn't open. They let in a lot of light, but there is no view, if that's what you're looking for. If you only want light, and to be able to check the weather, they are fine. Some "obstructed" cabins are more obstructed than others.

We were in 1090 on the Noordam in February. It was noisy from the galley above...I wouldn't recommend port side aft again. However, there are some port side on the starboard side, aft, that should be relatively quiet. Check the deck plans for Main Deck and there are some good ones midship as well. Just try not to be under the Queen's Lounge!

Main Deck is a wonderful place to be.

Are there any Ocean view rooms with good views that are on higher decks?

I did a quick check of all the decks from Upper Promenade on up, and didn't see any outside cabins on any of those decks.

It looks like the only outside cabins are on Main Deck and the obstructed ones on Upper Promenade.
