Okay, I waited too long in spite of all I read here. We are on the Getaway 9-6

We were on the fence about the UDP, and it only makes sense for us, if we get the first night show free. As of tonight, the banquet seats disappeared (so I guess sold out) and the floor seats were still listed. I click on that and get this:

We are sorry, this event is not available to book online at the moment. Please check back later or book on board the ship.

I read other recent posts about dinner reservation, and the fact that they only allow some spots to be reserved in advance. Do you think there will be some available for a party of two once we get on board ? I really don't want to buy the UDP if this show isn't the free first night because it would be cheaper for us to pay as we go for the specialty restaurants we want to go to.

Does the UDP every sell out? It reads "limited availability"on the website, but from recent dailies I see they are still selling it the first day or two. We are flexible as to when we eat and are probably going to make decisions only a few days in advance. Thanks.

Yes - book it once your board. They only offer some of the slots for prebooking.

I have not heard of any reports of the UBP or the UDP "selling out" - but that doesn't mean it can't. But I'm pretty confident you can wait to get that on board too! ;)
