Lap swimming on the Golden

Is there a pool where lap swimming is available? If so, is it a pool with a mechanical device that creates a current to swim against as opposed to a longer pool?

The Golden has a swim against the current pool on deck 15 forward.

...yes they do but...I found that I swam faster than the current so kept hitting my head, never really got the hang of it. I did manage to do laps in the Neptune...but that was really early in the morning. The crew was highly amused :) On the plus side - I mastered my turns :)

on our 31 day cruise on the golden around SA, it was out of order the whole cruise and we were told it had been for a while. I was also told that they aren't working on and off on other ships as well. so don't count on it!

I've found that the swim-against-the-current machines don't work very well some of the time. But I'm not a lap swimmer. I just like the feel of the current.

Geoherb, I've been on the Golden twice and didn't know they had a current pool. Yikes I say
