Great picture! I try to get photos of the pilot boats when we cruise.:cool:

Oh! I am envious of such a great photo!

 

On the Volendam, I was at the perfect spot at the windows in the starboard aft section of the Crow's Nest to photograph the transfer of the pilot onto the ship in the early morning hours on our arrival in Sydney. The pilot boat's lights and the ship's lights would have provided plenty of illumination for a great picture.

 

At the approrpiate time for the picture, my darn camera decided it would not work! UGH!! (You might imagine something else was muttered under my breath than "UGH".)
