Buying photos

I tried to search for this and couldn't find much info.

A coworker recently returned from a Carnival Cruise and she said that all the photos were half off on the last night. Is this a normal sale?

I've never seen this happen before. Think it would be a first. Not saying it didn't happen but I've never heard of it before

She may have been confused because she said she had previously purchased the photos on a prior night for full price and then saw that they were half off on the last night and was disgruntled over missing a deal. But maybe she misunderstood something.

 

I have only been on 1 Carnival cruise and it was 10 years ago but the photos weren't discounted then either.

No, but there were different prices for different sizes or styles (formal, port etc) on our August cruise.

I believe I saw a disc for sale but i have no idea how much it was.

Seems like they offer a discount coupon plan. The more you buy you get like a frame free, next level is something else, etc, etc, etc.

 

But in 17 Carnival cruises I have NEVER seen half off photos!

I have never seen a 50% off sale in my dozen or so cruises. To my knowledge the only time they sell a disc is for weddings and Dreams Photography sessions. However, the purchasers of said disc are spending $750-$1,000 for the digital images and print release. We spent nearly $800 for 42 (digital and print) images from our wedding

I didn't see any discounts on my recent cruise.

 

Each 8x10 was about $22 w/tax.

 

They had 3-4 different sized photos from debarking at ports, elegant nights, dining rooms, etc.

Just remember, no need to purchase more than one of any picture cause they have the photo release right on their website. I scanned mine in and had Walmart print the extras I wanted. Looked just like the originals.
