Guarantee Balcony

We are sailing on the Breeze Thanksgiving week, this is our first time getting a balcony yet alone doing the guarantee. I have read some times they assign the room prior to departure other times you find out when you check in. Can anyone explain this process with cabin guarantee. Would I get an email stating I was assigned a cabin?

We just got our assigned cabin 35 days out for November. Our last one was assigned about 4 weeks out. They don't let you know, you just have to keep checking back.

We've done guarantee a few times, usually get our assignment about 4 weeks out. As mentioned, there isn't any notification, you just need to log into your profile and check.

 

As for which cabin? You never really know! Every time we've done it we've been pleasantly surprised. They hold some cabins for guarantees, so you won't see them if you try and book through the website, so you can never really tell what your options may be.

 

One important note: if you're traveling with others and would like to be near them, LINK YOUR BOOKINGS! Every time we've done this, we've had rooms very close by. And we always have at least one person with an assigned cabin, and all the guarantees got rooms nearby, meaning they got a nice upgrade, far from a lead-in category!

We are also sailing on Thanksgiving (but on Freedom) and just got our GTY assignment this week after a few weeks in the pool. The last time I had a GTY we got our assignment three weeks before the sailing. FWIW--we got midship cabins on deck 8.
