Va. Plumber Posted October 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2014 What is the procedure and cost for logging on while tied up at Dockyard? What about internet cafes?
njhorseman Posted October 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2014 You can log on from your computer, tablet or other device, sign up, and pay by credit card. The same company has wifi hotspots you can access at numerous locations throughout Bermuda. Prices, hotspot map and procedures can be found on this page: http://www.telebermuda.com/residential/wifi/
karpela Posted October 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Is there any free wifi nearby?
njhorseman Posted October 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Is there any free wifi nearby? Once TBi wired up their paid wifi system at Dockyard (and in other spots around Bermuda) that pretty much spelled the end of free wifi locations. I can't say for sure there are none, but offhand I don't know of any at Dockyard.
Langoustine Posted October 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) Three years ago there was free wi-fi in the Bermuda National Library on Queen Street in Hamilton (and in the adjacent park), but I don't know if it still is free since TBi finished wiring the island in 2012. OceanBlue123 Posted October 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Three years ago there was free wi-fi in the Bermuda National Library on Queen Street in Hamilton (and in the adjacent park), but I don't know if it still is free since TBi finished wiring the island in 2012. From the Bermuda National Library's website: Internet There are 5 Internet terminals available for public use. Please enquire at the Circulation desk about reserving time to use any one of these internet terninals. Customers do not have to be members to use the Internet. The rules are posted on the bulletin board next to the Circulation desk. All machines print at a cost of 25 cents per copy. Free unsecured wireless internet access is also available. http://www.bnl.bm/adult/adult-services/ It is in Hamilton rather than the Dockyard, but at least there should be one place in Bermuda still offering free WiFi.
