Ariel35 Posted October 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Hi everyone, Has anyone had experience with a credit they've received from royal? I was told the percentage is taken off the base fare of your current cruise? Also, are there any limitations, conditions, or exceptions to using it? Can it be combined with other offers? How difficult is it to have it extended (being offered a 15% future cruise credit valid for one year)? Should I take it or take offer of $100 OBC? Thanks. Any and all limitations and dates will be printed on the actual certificate that you receive. Any promised "percentage" is based on the affected cruise, not the future one that you will book. Most of the time there is a one year period. They have been known to extend the time if you ask nicely. ;) It USED TO BE combinable with anything else. Today, who knows? That whole issue seems to be a "moving target". I don't know if $100 is better or not. How much is 15% of what you paid? (I DO know that they are non-transferable. Only the named person can use it)
Ariel35 Posted October 25, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted October 25, 2014 15% of what I paid is about $570.
Doc Rick Posted October 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Inaugural and holiday sailings are usually excluded. I'd take the $570 future credit....
Janet524 Posted October 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2014 We recently received a $350 future cruise credit as a result of some issues with our stateroom on Liberty of the Seas. We were able to use the full $350 in addition to our D+ balcony discount when we booked our Allure cruise. There were no other promotions offered for the sailing we chose, so I can't comment on combining with other promos.
