Is the Gym on Reflection Open the First Day?

I've been trying to lose weight and we all know how cruises go. So I am hoping to get a jump on the liquid calories and the specialty restaurant food by heading to the gym as soon as I get onboard during those awkward couple of hours when everyone hangs out waiting for their cabins to be ready.

 

Does anyone know if the gym is open as soon as you are onboard? How about the Persian Gardens?

Yes it is...

 

Although you may not be alone... The Spa & Fitness area hosts tours on E-Day, so Pax new to Celebrity / the ship can check out the facilities.

it is open for tours so they may not actually permit the use of the equipment.

On my past cruises on E-Day I have noticed that early bird passengers are being used to showcase certains offerings in the Spa. I don't know if the gym would have any of those chances to get a free class or something if you help demonstrate a program that passengers can sign up for, but it might be worth asking. I have noticed persons using treadmills during the early afternoon before muster drill on Reflection. Happy Cruising!

We've always used the gym the first day.

You generally do need to ping-pong your way around the spa staff pushing tours and reservations but once you are in the gym area, no problem.

Just disembarked Reflection and the gym equipment was available on embarkation day
