Kids S&S Account - Opinions Needed

We will be sailing on the Breeze this Saturday and I have a question about the kid's Sign and Sail accounts. DD(13) wants to bring her spending cash from her good grades and DD's best friend (11) will be coming aboard with her own cash. When we check in, can we give them the cash and set up daily limits? Or will they only accept our credit card? In addition - any cash that is not spent, will the girls get it back?

 

Or, is it smarter to just go ahead and set the girls up with daily spending limits on our credit card, and then give them back whatever cash they didn't spend?

Both options are possible. When setting up your account at embarkation, you put cash on the kids' accounts that they bring, or use your credit card for the equivalent amount. You can also set up your account online, but then it's credit card only. In both cases, you can set a daily spending limit and get back what you didn't spend in cash.

You can set up seperate cash accounts for them, but I don't know about setting a daily limit.

They would not let us give cash at embarkation but had to go to guest services once on board. This was last week.

kids gave them cash. The credit card is applied to all accounts but I checked that those accounts Did not have permission to charge. Once the cash is on it they have up to that limit. The cash is applied to all accounts, since they are connected but once a child hits that limit, say 20 then the card would not work anymore. If you want a limit per day your gonna have to give that much cash each day.
