"Magical Marigot Bay" tour on RCCL

Has anyone done the "Magical Marigot Bay" tour offered by RCCL, and did you think it was worthwhile? We've done nearly all of Spencer Ambrose's offerings so I'm looking for other options, and this one looked somewhat interesting as we've not stopped here by land previously.

The description says "Relax at a secluded beach, accessible by ferry". What beach is that, Jalousie or some other location? What was the cost of the ferry? \

Thank you.

The beach is a very small spit of land that is in Marigot Bay. MB is a very protected deep water harbour, and to Tech the beaxh area from where the road ends, you ha e to take a ferry. It is a small, though picturesque, beach and the harbour is a busy marina, so watch out for boat traffic. There is some shopping in the area, mainly for yachters. Nor snorkeling or diving, but there are kayaks available. Personally not somewhere I could imagine spending a whole day. It's a lovely spot for a little bit, but a whole day is quite long. About 20-30 minutes south of the port in Castries. If you've done Spencers land/sea tour, you've stopped at the top for pictures, and come in briefly for views on returning to the ship.

Try Pigeon Island instead. Or perhaps zip lining and aereal tram, etc.

DON"T GO! We just returned from a cruise on Celebrity. We did an excursion trip to Marigot Bay to spend the day on the "beach". After a 30 minute minimum bus ride with no commentary from our driver as to anything on the island we arrived to an overcrowded area where there was supposed to be shopping. There were 3 small stores and a deli/grocery. You had to take a 3 min. boat ride across the water to the "beach". The "beach" was a small peninsula of dirty sand and not even the beautiful blue water characteristic of the Caribbean. It was overcrowded - no chairs, no shade, no umbrellas left - in fact you were lucky to find a place to spread a towel. It is the only "beach" for a number of resorts along the hills of the bay so naturally people staying at the resorts flock there early. The only restrooms on that side were in the only restaurant - "Doolittles", which of course you had to be a customer at the restaurant to use. To be fair that also gave you use of their small pool and minimal chairs - However it is doubtful you would have time since it took us 1 1/2 hours to be served 2 drinks and an order of fries -AFTER being seated! Other customers were experiencing the same ridiculous wait. We were not the only ones in our excursion dissatisfied. Several couples paid a taxi driver extra to return them to the ship early. It was a waste of a day on beautiful St. Lucia. Marigot Bay may be beautiful in films - after teh crew has cleared out the people and put a blue filter on the camera for the water - but in reality it was VERY unappealing.
